Job Description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer - Pre-Construction to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, estimators, and subcontractors to ensure mechanical systems are accurately designed, specified, and estimated during the pre-construction phase. Your responsibilities will include reviewing project documents, performing site assessments, preparing preliminary mechanical system layouts, and developing detailed cost estimates. You will also assist in value engineering efforts, analyze constructability, and support the development of project schedules and bid packages. The ideal candidate is passionate about optimizing mechanical design, identifying innovative solutions, and ensuring all systems comply with relevant codes and standards.
To succeed in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software is essential, as is a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, as you will be expected to present technical information clearly and work effectively within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or progress towards licensure is highly desirable.
