This Mechanical Engineer contract focuses on integrating new surfaces and systems with an existing Ferrari 355 chassis. You'll work at the intersection of aesthetics and performance, ensuring technical feasibility without compromising the original vision.
Lead mechanical integration of exterior/interior surfaces with the Ferrari 355 chassis
Conduct packaging, tolerance, and fitment studies
Resolve engineering challenges in collaboration with Class A surfacing teams
Create detailed CAD assemblies and prototype-ready drawings
Support testing, validation, and final CAD package delivery
To succeed in this Mechanical Engineer role, you'll need a background in high-end automotive development and a confident grasp of CAD and integration challenges.
10+ years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer or Automotive Engineer
SolidWorks, Catia, NX, or equivalent CAD proficiency
Proven experience integrating surfaces with chassis structures
Strong understanding of chassis constraints and manufacturing processes
12-18 month freelance contract (project-based)
Remote-first setup with occasional travel to the EU
Work on an iconic Ferrari restomod project with real design freedom
