Mechanical Engineer - Wigton
Location: Wigton
Hours: Rotating shifts (early and late)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Adecco are excited to be recruiting for a well-known manufacturer in the Wigton area. They are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join their team and help keep production running smoothly.
This is a practical, varied position where no two days are the same. You will be involved in fixing breakdowns, carrying out regular maintenance, and fitting new parts or equipment when required. You'll split your time between the shop floor and the workshop, working alongside experienced engineers and production staff.
Role Overview

• Routine servicing and maintenance of production machinery
• Attending breakdowns quickly to keep downtime to a minimum
• Fitting and installing mechanical components
• Supporting improvements to machinery and processes
• Completing basic paperwork to record work carried out

What You'll Need

• A mechanical engineering qualification (Level 3 or equivalent)
• Previous experience working with manufacturing machinery
• Good problem-solving skills and a practical approach
• Ability to work well with others and follow safety procedures
• Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern
