HVAC Mechanical Estimator - Bedford

50,000 - 65,000 per annum (DOE)

Full-time, Permanent

An established

family-run plumbing and heating contractor

is looking to expand their estimating team. With a Senior Estimator already in place, they're now seeking a talented

HVAC Mechanical Estimator

-- whether you're an experienced professional or a developing estimator with strong mechanical knowledge and great potential.

The Role

You'll be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for

mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, and heating)

works across a mix of

commercial and residential projects

. Working closely with the existing estimating and project teams, you'll play a key role in helping the business secure and deliver profitable work.

Key Responsibilities

Reviewing tender drawings and specifications to identify scope and requirements. Producing detailed mechanical (HVAC) estimates, including material take-offs and labour calculations. Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. Supporting bid submissions and value engineering exercises. Collaborating with the Senior Estimator and wider project team.

Requirements

Mechanical background essential

- ideally plumbing, heating, or building services.

HVAC estimating experience

(ideal). Experience across

both commercial and residential projects

. Strong attention to detail and solid numerical skills. A friendly, team-oriented attitude - someone who will fit into a
