Building Contractor

who are looking to appoint an experienced

Mechanical Estimator

to join their growing commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and well-structured business with a strong order book across the

. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing and managing mechanical packages from initial enquiry through to tender submission.

The Role

Prepare detailed mechanical estimates and tender submissions for design and build projects. Review drawings, specifications, and client requirements to produce accurate cost plans. Liaise closely with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. Work collaboratively with the pre-construction and delivery teams to ensure project feasibility. Attend tender meetings and provide technical input to the wider estimating and bid process.

The Person

Proven experience working as a

Mechanical Estimator

within the construction or M&E contracting environment. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building services. Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills. Competent using estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel essential). Able to manage multiple tenders concurrently and work to deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.

The Offer

Competitive salary circa

55,000 - 65,000
