Mechanical Estimator
Job Description
Here at CSK we are a reputable M&E contractor, known for delivering commercial mechanical bias projects and maintenance services across sectors including education, public sector, industrial, and residential.
As we continue to expand, we are currently looking to grow an in house estimating team, we're looking for a Mechanical Estimator who's technically strong, commercially aware, and confident working across HVAC-based projects in live environments.
This role offers long-term progression within the business and a solid pipeline of work as we continue to grow our portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and timely mechanical estimates (typically 10k-200k) Attend site surveys or review desktop information to produce quotations Analyse specifications, drawings, and tender documents to price materials, labour, and plant Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotes Work closely with operational teams to hand over successful tenders Maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders via CRM and other systems Support and collaborate across the wider estimating and commercial teams Provide input on value engineering, programming, and planning
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years' experience in mechanical estimating or building services NVQ Level 2 (or above) in relevant HVAC qualification Strong understanding of heating, domestic water, chilled water, and capital plant Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software Full UK driving licence and clear DBS Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail
Desirable:
Experience with commercial gas, DX systems, ventilation and/or renewables Formal qualification in building services engineering

Pay: 45,000.00-55,000.00 per year
