Laker Vent Engineering Ltd is a mechanical contractor operating within the engineering construction industry. We specialise in the installation of highly regulated process piping systems, serving blue chip clients across the Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, and Petrochemical industries.

The Role

We are seeking Mechanical Fitters to work on NAECI-regulated industrial projects, supporting mechanical installation and associated site activities.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical installation and fitting of pipework, valves, pumps, and mechanical equipment Working from isometric drawings, GA drawings, and method statements Assisting with alignment, rotating equipment, bolting, testing, and commissioning activities Complying with all site rules, permit systems, and HSE requirements Maintaining high standards of workmanship, quality, and housekeeping

Requirements

Proven experience in an industrial mechanical fitting role (NAECI or similar environment preferred) NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Strong understanding of site safety and permit-to-work systems

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a highly regulated industry. DBS check will be required before employment commences.

Rates

PAYE (NAECI Categorised Rates 2025) Grade 5 Basic: 22.44/hr OT1: 31.42/hr OT2: 40.39/hr

Working Hours

43 Hours Monday-Thursday: 9.5 hrs/day Friday: 6 hrs Overtime available
