We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our clients dynamic team in the heavy engineering sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical fitting, with expertise in installing large-scale capital plant, conveyors, and proficiency in welding and fabrication. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to the success of our engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair large-scale industrial machinery and equipment Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics Assemble and install conveyor systems and other material handling equipment Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues Collaborate with other trades and departments to ensure project completion Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements

Ideal candidate:

Level 3 qualified Mechanical Engineer Happy to travel across the UK and Oversees Experienced working within a Heavy engineering environment Natural problem solver, great communicator
