Mechanical Maintenance Fitter - Renewable Energy

About the role:
Astute\'s Renewable Energy team is partnering with a large energy provider with a commitment to becoming more of a circular economy. They are looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter for their West Sussex site.

The highly valued Mechanical Maintenance Fitter role comes with a salary of \xc2\xa339,211, pension, ongoing development and training, life assurance as well as generous retail, holiday, travel and leisure discounts. This is a 4 on 4 off shift pattern - 2 days - 2 nights - 4 off & repeat.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will:

• Carry out maintenance work including breakdowns and repairs to minimise downtime
• Carry out installation work to the required standards
• Complete PPM\'s on pumps, motors, gear boxes and valves
• Comply and adhere to all Health and Safety regulations
• Other duties as required

Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:

• A relevant Engineering qualification (desirable but not essential)

Personal skills:
The Mechanical Maintenance Fitter role would suit someone who is:

• Has at least 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter
• Previous experience reading engineering drawings, identify and using hand tools, changing bearings, track conveyors, welding, grinding, fixing equipment
• Experience of fault tracing and diagnosis to root cause
• AD experience would be an advantage but if not, experience working in a similar processing environment
• Prior experience in temporary repairs
