Further growth at Giro Engineering means you can contribute your skillset to the production of fuel injection pipes and ancillary system parts for some of the world's premier OEM engine builders.

Role

We need Mechanical fitters to help our skilled team with a new contract and growth. You will be responsible manual machining on Mills and Lathes and for the production of fuel injection pipes, systems and ancillary fuel system equipment. They will be required to use a variety of workshop machinery, utilise bench skills and work within a Cleanroom. Work will be varied and will require skilled manual assembly work. Typically, they will be time-served engineers with formal training and suitable qualifications.

Candidate Requirements

- Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings

- Able to competently use manual milling m/c's and lathes

- Possess demonstrable engineering hand skills

- Able to demonstrate experience in a skilled manual engineering role

- Have completed formal engineering training

Additional desirable requirements

- Experience with pipe bending

- Engineering Apprenticeship

- HNC/D and or Degree in Engineering

Responsibilities may include

- Production of pipe end forms to drawing and selected inspection procedure

- Operation of bending machines to fashion pipe shapes

- Jig fitting and hand fitting of selected pipes and systems

- Manual machining

- Pipe swaging, flanging and flaring

- Pre-stressing operation treatment throughout the range of fuel lines (Autofrettage)

- Production of drain manifolds and drain-line parts (to include bending and silver soldering)

- Cleanliness of parts within a cleanroom environment

- Operation of a range of workshop bending machines and other machinery

Salary and Benefits:

27,000 - 34,000 / annum

22 days holiday + Bank Holidays

Company profit share scheme paid yearly
