We supply, deliver, install and maintain our Site Pods, providing a much needed service in a professional way. .

We are looking for an experienced Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and be able to work with a variety of tools and machinery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of various mechanical systems and components within our Site Pods. The Fitter will be responsible for ensuring that all installations are completed to the highest standard, in accordance with safety regulations. Additionally, once built, the successful applicant will be required to deliver the pods to site and complete a handover with the site manager/ contractor responsible for taking delivery. As part of this role, it will be necessary for the fitter to efficiently evaluate the quality of the product on delivery and pick up and record in the appropriate way, using dedicated systems.

Main Responsibilities:

Read and interpret manuals, drawings, and other technical documents. Assemble, install, and maintain machinery and equipment. Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete tasks. Undertake the dismantling and reassembly of damaged pods on return from hire to an extremely high standard. Carry out technical maintenance, repair or replace parts within the estimated time. Report any additional parts damaged when stripping down and return all unused parts. Dismantle and rebuild pods as instructed. Troubleshoot problems with machinery and equipment. Follow safety protocols when working with hazardous materials. Co-ordinate with contractors where applicable. Ensure that all reactive calls are completed in line with our contractual obligations. Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and Company policy - fire regulations, COSHH, Safe working practices, PPE, PAT testing etc. Take a proactive approach to reporting any defects and additional works on pods on their return after hire. Be responsible for the management of stock and liaise with the purchasing team when additional parts are required.
Additional requirements:

NVQ level 3 or equivalent in mechanical maintenance and fitting Ability to effectively prioritise own workload. Ability to accurately record work on approved systems. Proactive and positive approach to work. Ability to work to clear and agreed deadlines. Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and precision. Presented in a clean and tidy manner to represent the company in a professional manner, utilising company uniform and necessary PPE issued. Provide excellent customer service. Understanding of current H&S legislation and its application within this role. Must hold a full UK driving licence. Confidently deliver pods to site and carry out handovers of pods to customers, ensuring customer confidence and satisfaction with our products.
