Role Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter & Steel Erection Specialist to join our growing team. Based at our Nuneaton office, you'll work both on-site and off-site, assembling and installing custom lifting equipment across the UK. This is a hands-on, varied role with opportunities for overtime and professional development.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assemble and install bespoke lifting equipment to precise specifications Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Use power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently Conduct quality checks to ensure all work meets safety and performance standards Collaborate with team members to streamline production and installation processes Travel to various sites across the UK (company van provided) Occasionally work weekends and stay away from home (accommodation and expenses covered)
Requirements

Proven experience as a mechanical fitter and steel erector Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with a range of materials Confident using power tools, hand tools, and fabrication techniques Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform accurate measurements Full, clean UK driving licence (essential) Must live within 20 miles of Nuneaton IPAF and forklift licences are an advantage (training provided if needed) Eligible to work in the UK Willingness to work occasional weekends and travel as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 17.00-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
