Salary: Up to 30,000 per annum
Location: Near Uxbridge, West London
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:45pm, Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
We're hiring for a precision-driven Mechanical Fitter to join a globally recognised aerospace manufacturing business near Uxbridge. This is a hands-on role in the Fitting Shop where you'll build detailed mechanical assemblies for safety-critical equipment used in military and defence applications.

- Conduct detailed bench fitting and mechanical build of aerospace assemblies
- Install a wide range of threaded inserts and locking pins
- Perform jig drilling, taper reaming, thread locking and crimping operations
- Carry out manual riveting techniques as well as orbital and spin riveting processes
- Assemble cables, hoses, firing handles and gun systems using hand tools
- Read and follow engineering drawings and build plans accurately
- Conduct quality checks and complete documentation for each build
- Follow health & safety protocols and contribute to 5S and lean improvement initiatives
- Mechanical assembly or bench fitting background
- Confident with precision tools and techniques (e.g. riveting, reaming, crimping, drilling)
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Basic computer skills (SAP experience desirable)
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical working style
- A team player who takes pride in doing the job right first time
