About the Role



We are looking for a skilled and reliable

Mechanical & Hardware Maintenance Technician

to support the day-to-day maintenance and smooth operation of our production machinery and hardware systems. This is a practical, hands-on role requiring someone confident dismantling equipment, diagnosing faults, and maintaining both mechanical systems and computer hardware used in a fast-paced production environment.

You'll play a key role in minimising downtime across the business, working closely with the Production Manager and team leads to ensure all systems are running safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities



Diagnose and repair faults in mechanical production equipment such as: DTG printers Pretreat machines Tunnel dryers Conveyor systems Strip down, inspect, and reassemble mechanical systems and parts. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot

computer hardware

including: Monitors and workstations Label printers and peripherals Basic networking hardware (if required) Conduct preventative maintenance and safety checks on all critical machinery. Support with the setup of new equipment and production hardware. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and breakdowns. Prioritise tasks based on production schedules and communicate effectively with the Production Manager. Adhere to all health & safety policies and procedures

Skills & Experience



Required:



2+ years' experience in a mechanical maintenance or production support role. Hands-on experience dismantling and repairing industrial machinery. Familiarity with basic IT hardware (screens, terminals, printers, etc.). Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and follow instructions accurately. Organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

Desirable:



Experience in a manufacturing, print-on-demand, or textile production environment. Basic understanding of electrical or control systems. Formal qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC) in Mechanical or Maintenance Engineering.

Pay: 28,000.00 per year
