Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of machinery including air compressors and equipment within our facility and on customer's premises. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various mechanical systems to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

Duties

Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify issues and perform necessary repairs. Troubleshoot mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and techniques. Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment. Collaborate with other team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure minimal disruption to operations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment at all times. Assist in the installation of new equipment as required.

Skills

Proficient in mechanical troubleshooting and repair techniques. A Good understanding of pipework installations and pneumatic, systems. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential; relevant qualifications will be considered. A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices.
