We're looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to support our Engineering Manager and play a key role in the ongoing maintenance and improvement of our Plymouth fuel storage facility. You'll be part of a small maintenance team, working on everything from planned servicing and condition monitoring to fault diagnosis and mechanical repairs.

You'll also help keep our systems running efficiently by accurately documenting all work through our digital systems and CMMS platform. This is a hands-on role based at our Mayflower Terminal Tank Farm in Plymouth, working Monday to Friday, 8.00am-4.30pm (37.5 hours per week), with occasional call-outs and overtime when needed.

Key Responsibilities





Plan and lead routine maintenance activities within hazardous and non-hazardous areas Fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical equipment Working with the site maintenance management system (CMMS) to accurately compile and complete work orders and update equipment information/records Develop and prepare RAMS and procedures for common and specific work activities across site Prepare work packs for the permit to work system Identification and allocate parts and resources for maintenance activities Identify equipment parts for requisition Spares and consumables control in conjunction with the work requirements Collaborate with the other maintenance engineers and the operations department to identify appropriate maintenance schedules to complete activities Ensure that allocated work orders on the MS job board are completed, documented and closed out properly to guarantee site compliance as directed by engineering teams Record keeping and document control for maintenance and inspection activities Role model the Greenergy values Any other reasonable tasks as requested

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise



Essential:

Time served mechanical apprenticeship Minimum Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance (Mechanical) or equivalent Computer literate and familiar with using the main Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel, if you've used Microsoft Project even better but it's not essential Ability to understand and produce accurate risk assessment and method statements Experience of using a permit to work system

Desirable:

Experience working in a Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) top tier fuel terminal environment CompEX EX11 Mechanical qualification
