The Mechanical Maintenance Fitter is a skilled position that will operate in line with the requirements of on and off-site work including maintenance of all products and parts, problem solving, reactive and preventive Maintenance activities.
Due to an increase in workload and steady growth within the business a position for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter has become available.

Purpose of the role
:
Install, fit, test, commission, maintain and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
Servicing and repair of customer machinery in both reactive and preventative situations
Good understanding of mechanical systems and components
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Disassemble mechanical equipment, noting parts identification, configuration and condition
Replace or repair worn, or defective mechanical assemblies
Verify repairs using start-up testing procedures under customer direction
Ensures safe systems of work are in place for both planned and reactive activities, including isolation of energy sources and the acceptance, understanding and application of Permit to Work (PTW)
Builds, erects, constructs, disconnects and disassembly of parts and equipment as required
Ensures all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is fully utilised in every activity/ task and maintains the equipment to a high standard
Skills and Experience
:
The successful candidate will be expected to have had formal training (apprenticeship) in a mechanical biased subject
Excellent Health & Safety knowledge and application
ONC or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Maintenance or equivalent
HSE course(s) and / or job specific experience is essential
Plant maintenance, system experience is beneficial
Permit to work (PTW) and Safe systems of work (SSOW)
Computer literacy with associated course or experience would be beneficial.
Electrical knowledge would be advantageous
Full Clean Driving Licence
