The role

We are urgently seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Supervisor to assist with delivery of mechanical works across Suffolk. You will be the Companies representative on site overseeing the installation of the mechanical works being undertaken. Previous experience working in MOD/Defence sites is useful but not essential.

You will be required to assist with surveying and pricing new works.

Checking of all Sub-Contractor RAMs and Method Statements and highlighting any issues.

Order materials and plant to ensure works can be completed within the KPI's set.

Arrange for Hire Equipment as and when required, i.e., Cherry Pickers/MEWPs/Scaffolding and any other plant required.

Assist with the booking in of all parts and their allocation to the relevant operatives.

Carry out periodic checks of operatives to ensure that they are fully compliant, and all tickets are up to date, i.e. Gas safe, VIVO ID etc.

Ensure all AP requests are submitted on time to avoid delays.

Carry out all return-to-work interviews for all operatives returning from periods of illness, as

Provide when requested operational data on performance and suggesting any improvements to your managers.

As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will coordinate and supervise the mechanical team to deliver the project on time and on budget. You will scope work on site and assess work required. You will supervise the site schedule of site teams. You will conduct toolbox talks and work with the QHSE Manager to ensure health and safety on site.

You will need:

As the Mechanical or Electrical Supervisor, you will have either SMSTS and or SSSTS. Along with relevant industry qualification and experience, you will have experience supervising the full package.
