Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be time served and have estimating and design experience.

The role involves working on various projects/part projects ensuring that safety, quality, programme and profitable management expectations are met if not exceeded.

Key Accountabilities

Ensure planned site activities are efficiently carried out, with particular attention being given to safety, planning and control of labour resources and storage, control and utilisation of materials .

Able to undertake accurate take offs and prepare estimates

Have HVAC design experience

Assist the Project Manager with reports, valuations and forecasts and applications for payment

Monitor and report progress of the installation against programme

To manage a single project or smaller combined projects of 50K to 1 million

Technical Skills / Knowledge

Have contract management experience and be capable of managing the data flow process

Have estimating experience

Have design experience

Will have attended relevant health & safety courses

Have appropriate building service industry experience

Knowledge of construction contracts and procedures

An Engineering qualification

Competent in relevant IT skills

To have the ability to aspire to Project Manager role or to Senior Project Engineer if a 'career engineer'

Building Services HNC

Clean and valid driving license

Current SMSTS

Current CSCS Card

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 50,000.00 per year
