Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control processes and the ability to analyse financial data effectively.

Responsibilities



Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate project viability and financial implications. Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate pricing and project specifications. Prepare tender documents and assist in the procurement process for materials and services. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify any potential issues affecting costs. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects. Provide regular reports on project financial status to stakeholders, highlighting any discrepancies or areas of concern.

Qualifications



A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential. Proven experience in cost control within the construction industry is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Proficiency in relevant software applications for quantity surveying and cost management. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
