We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Site Operative to join our clients team. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside electrical engineers in the installation and servicing of pumping equipment across the area.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with electrical engineers to install, maintain, and repair pumping equipment at various sites nationwide Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues in pumping equipment Perform necessary repairs and replacements of mechanical components Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members Assist in the development and implementation of new installation and maintenance procedures Participate in training sessions to stay updated on the latest technologies and industry standards Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts for field operations Coordinate with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of assignments Travel to various sites across the country as required

Required Qualifications

Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Operative or similar role in the pumping equipment industry Strong background in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a relevant degree or vocational qualification Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and lift heavy equipment when necessary Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the mechanical engineering field
