Our vocational courses are designed to be practical, engaging, and supportive, catering to learners with diverse needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health).
Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and passionate individual Ideally from the motor vehicle industry or someone who has a passion for working with young people to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who has knowledge, whether qualified or not in mechanics or engineering who is enthusiastic about sharing their expertise and helping young people thrive. No prior teaching experience is necessary, as full training and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and hands-on lessons in
Motor Vehicle Studies
, ensuring students gain practical skills and knowledge.
Deliver
Functional Skills Maths and English
, integrating real-world applications relevant to the automotive industry.
Provide targeted support for learners with SEMH needs, fostering a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment.
Demonstrate a variety of mechanical skills and techniques, building learners' confidence and competence.
Promote personal development by providing constructive feedback and encouragement.
Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to in the classroom and workshop.
Maintain safeguarding standards and ensure learners are safe whilst attending the provision.
Requirements
Essential:
Knowledge of mechanics, motor vehicle engineering, or automotive technology.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive, patient, and supportive attitude.
A
clear enhanced DBS check
(or willingness to obtain one).
The
right to work in the UK
.
Desirable (but not required):
Experience working with young people or learners with SEMH needs.
Familiarity with Functional Skills Maths and English teaching or application.
Awareness of current trends and technologies in the motor vehicle industry.
