We are a rapidly growing start-up company specializing in the processing of produce into products for the food industry. We have secured substantial development funding and are looking to develop the first processing plant in the East of England

Job Summary

: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the initiation and development of a new 20m processing site. The project manager will be expected to bring experience of developing process mechanical electrical systems and will be responsible for managing delivery of all aspects of this new plant from design to commissioning. This is expected to be the first of several such developments the Postholder will preside over. Permanent Status or 18 month contract terms available

You will manage a professional team that includes external and internal personnel, creating a system for governance covering H&S, cost management, quality, contract management and performance that aligns with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

:

The planning, development and execution of all aspects of this food processing plant project including:

Prepare an initial stage 1. Project Execution Plan and stage 2. Project Definition statement thus cementing the concept requirements for board approval with finalising of concept design and budget development;

Manage development with weekly review and monthly board review against progress and major review oat pre-planned gateway points

Undertake appointment of key project team personnel and appointment of the professional project services team in an appropriate governance structure including cost planning, project engineering, structural/civil engineering, site supervision, specialist engineering functions etc

The development of procurement for the fixed price performance based contract elements and related enabling contracts

Lead a client based overarching design approach with co-ordination and direct procurement of all requirements for process plant, civil works, mechanical installation, electrical installation, control systems, HVAC etc

Ensure via the management of the professional team that the systems and works overall are well co-ordinated and integrated

Develop and manage the project budget to enable the team regularly reporting upon the Project Execution Plan, the project programme, outturn budget to completion and cashflow.

Manage drawdown processes from funders with interaction with the funder's advisor's or similar

Manage the execution of contracts during the execution phase with the implementation of a framework for safety management, performance management and quality management

Act as the Project Manager/the Clients representative for the IMechE or other standard form of contracts deployed

The Postholder



The postholder will have an appropriate track record for delivering process-mechanical-electrical projects or similar continuous process plant.

The postholder shall be given substantial autonomy to complete his/her obligations, working in a position of trust and shall meet the following eligibility criteria.

Project management qualified or technical trade based education and training is sought

Qualifications/Experience



Essential



Relevant professional and or higher technical, project management or engineering qualification Safety management qualification such as Nebosh Diploma, Iosh or or similar qualification Five years prior experience in client side - procuring and managing execution of substantial process-mech-elec projects Understanding and proficient upon the regulatory environment including: environmental, DSEAR, health and safety Well versed with a Project management software WindowsOffice 365 suite literacy including XL. Excellent communication skills and a personable manner
The candidates must have the right to work in the UK and have a current driving licence and be willing to be subject to assessment and monitoring for prudent Occupational health reasons

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 65,000.00-80,000.00 per year
