Who We Are



Smart Outdoor Media Ltd are a North-East based outdoor advertising, media and communications specialist. The group comprises of:

Smart Outdoor; the largest provider of large-format digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising screens in the North-East of England,

SMB; a Manchester-based media buying agency, and

Smart Vision Screens; a pioneering LED screen specialist, offering design, fabrication, installation, and aftersales care of large format LED screens across venues such as bars, sports stadiums, retail centres, hotels, container parks, and roadside advertising sites.

Key Responsibilities:

You will support a team of Account Directors to create strategic campaigns for clients on a local & national level across the Smart Outdoor estate.

You will also be required to support the SMB Agency team (based in Manchester) to

create strategic campaigns for clients on both a local, regional and national level across all

forms of media including, but not exclusive to, 3rd party OOH, TV, radio, press, and digital.

Planning:

Under the direction of your Account Director/s you will gain a clear understanding of client needs and objectives. Conduct secondary research into relevant demographics, e.g market sector, target audience or geographical area. Competitor analysis. Plan DOOH campaigns across the Smart Outdoor estate including the Shell network. Develop media buying plans to ensure optimal placement and cost efficiency for advertising campaigns across various platforms, including but not exclusive to, 3rd party OOH, TV, radio, press, and digital. Prepare media plans within Excel. Prepare sales presentations/decks within Power Point.
Implementation:

Reserve and book all campaigns in line with company processes and procedures. Liaise with the client and internal departments to guarantee the scheduling of media placements ensuring that content is activated in accordance with the plan and timeline. Monitor and analyze the delivery and performance of campaigns, adjusting as required. Provide regular communication and updates on campaigns, progress, and results to your Account Director/s. Prepare and present reports on the progress and success of campaigns as required.
Post campaign:

Upon conclusion of campaigns, you will be required to source and analyze data to evaluate performance against objectives. Provide detailed reports on metrics such as reach, frequency, and ROI.
In addition to the core responsibilities, you will be required to:

Support the Accounts team across Smart Outdoor and SMB Agency bookings. Research and stay informed about new media platforms and technologies, evaluating their potential for inclusion in future media strategies to reach emerging audiences or achieve innovative engagement. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, developments, and opportunities. Support the wider operations function of Smart Media Group. Answer and field incoming telephone calls and general enquiries. Attend and support Smart Media Group events.
Qualifications and personal qualities:

Educated to degree level or have proven experience in a similar role. Exceptional organisational and time management skills with an ability to think on your feet and proactively undertake tasks. The ability to manage several projects at any one time. The desire and willingness to provide an outstanding level of service to Account Directors, internal stakeholders and clients. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of Sage 50 is advantageous but not essential. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of integrity and professionalism. Interaction with clients, media representatives, and internal teams is likely, necessitating strong communication skills. An outgoing, positive personality with a 'can do' attitude.
