Job Description

SHIFT Active Media is looking for a Paid Media Manager to deliver high-performing digital advertising campaigns for some of the world's most exciting cycling and active lifestyle brands.



You'll be a key part of our Media Planning & Buying team, taking ownership of the day-to-day management and optimisation of paid media campaigns across Google and Meta platforms. This role suits someone who enjoys working close to the platforms, cares deeply about performance, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving agency environment.



As Paid Media Manager, you'll be responsible for building, managing and improving campaigns that drive real impact - from ecommerce growth and product launches to brand awareness and audience development. You'll combine strong platform knowledge with analytical thinking, using data to inform decisions and continuously refine performance.


What you'll be doing




Campaign management & execution




Plan, launch and optimise paid media campaigns across Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager, including Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display, YouTube and Facebook/Instagram. Manage budgets, bids, targeting and pacing to ensure campaigns deliver against agreed KPIs. Work closely with internal creative and planning teams, briefing them on platform requirements, messaging opportunities and performance insights. Test and iterate on audiences, creative and formats to improve results over time.

Analysis & reporting




Use GA4, Looker Studio and platform dashboards to analyse performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Track and interpret key metrics such as ROAS, CPA, CTR and new customer acquisition. Produce clear, actionable reporting that feeds learning back into future planning and optimisation.

Strategic contribution




Share insights and recommendations with colleagues and clients to help shape media plans and campaign direction. Contribute to media planning discussions, campaign briefs and post-campaign reviews. Stay up to date with platform changes, new ad formats and best practice, sharing knowledge across the team.

About you





We're more interested in your mindset and potential than ticking every box. You're likely to be a good fit if you have many of the following:


Hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns on Google Ads and Meta platforms. A strong analytical approach and confidence making data-driven decisions. Experience using analytics and reporting tools such as Google Analytics (GA4). Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities. Clear written and verbal communication skills, and confidence explaining performance and recommendations. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities. A collaborative, team-focused approach. An interest in cycling or the outdoors is a bonus, but not essential.
