Southend Medical Centre are a small and busy GP practice looking to expand our team and recruit a medical administrator to join our friendly team. This position is offered on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday, 7.5 hour shifts, allocated on a monthly basis. The successful candidate must be available during surgery opening times 0800-1830.
Duties will include (not limited to):
Organising letters for housing and benefits.
Processing insurance requests, along with completing.
Monitoring and recording outcomes of audits.
Monitoring and responding to surgery emails.
Creating and facilitating referrals, along with managing the outcomes and processing in line with surgery policies.
Reviewing and triaging administration tasks on our online platform and responding to them in line with our practice procedures.
The role may also include reception cover for annual leave and sickness.
About the Candidate

Customer service experience is essential
General Practice experience and knowledge of SystmOne would be desirable but not essential as training will be given
Excellent attention to detail
Outstanding communication and organisational skills
A good telephone manner
Be computer literate
Work well under pressure and always maintain confidentiality
Work as part of a team
