An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Team MWL as a Medical Engineering Apprentice in our Medical Engineering team based at the Medical Engineering Department based at Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals.
This is a Permanent/ 48 months Fixed term training post of 37.5 hours per week, paid under Apprenticeship guidelines. On successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will become a Medical Engineer Entry Level on Band 4.
As an apprenticeship this role is supported by an accompanying assessment and skills development programme, during which the post holder will gain the skills and knowledge relevant for this role. Learning will be a mix of in the workplace, formal on and off the job training, and the opportunity to practise new skills in a real work environment. On successful completion of their Apprenticeship, they will have the right knowledge, skills, and behaviours they need for their chosen role.

This is a Trainee (Apprentice) role, during which the post holder will be supported to work towards successful completion of:
An approved Level 4 qualification in Engineering
Level 4 Medical Engineering Apprentice.
To act as a member of a multi-disciplinary team of Medical Engineers. Duties include the commissioning, maintenance and repair of medical equipment: including patient monitors, patient therapy and diagnostic equipment.
