The Medical Healthcare Receptionist plays a key role in delivering excellent customer service, managing patient bookings, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic's front desk. This role requires a professional, proactive, and compassionate individual with a strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in patient wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk & Patient Interaction
Greet all patients and visitors warmly and professionally
Manage appointment scheduling via phone, email, and booking systems
Handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently
Provide clear information about clinic services and treatements
Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area at all times
Administrative Duties
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
Manage electronic patient records and ensure confidentiality (in line with GDPR)
Process payments, issue invoices, and manage daily cash/card transactions
Support with daily clinic operations, including opening and closing procedures
Liaise with practitioners to ensure clinic flow runs smoothly
Compliance & Patient Care
Ensure all intake forms, consent forms, and health questionnaires are completed
Support patient safety and satisfaction by identifying and escalating any concern
Ensuring patients being looked after when performing the treatments
Maintain stock of front-of-house supplies (e.g. forms, brochures, refreshments)
Requirements:
Previous experience as a receptionist in a healthcare or wellness setting (preferred)
Sales experience is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong IT skills, including familiarity with booking or CRM software
Ability to remain calm under pressure and multitask effectively
High level of professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail
Understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection (GDPR compliance)
Friendly and approachable with a genuine passion for helping people
Desirable:
Knowledge of wellness treatments such as cryotherapy, infrared sauna, or HBOT
First aid training or willingness to undergo training

Pay: 24,420.00-29,111.31 per year
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
