We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Negligence Litigator to join our reputable legal team. Duties

Manage a caseload of medical negligence claims from inception through to resolution, including settlement negotiations and court proceedings. Conduct thorough case investigations, including reviewing medical records, expert reports, and relevant documentation. Draft pleadings, witness statements, legal submissions, and correspondence with clients, experts, and opposing counsel. Negotiate settlements effectively while maintaining the best interests of clients. Provide clear legal advice to clients regarding their rights, potential outcomes, and procedural options. Keep abreast of developments in healthcare law and relevant legislation to ensure compliance and optimal case management. Collaborate with medical experts and other professionals to build strong cases. Assist in mentoring junior team members and contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental procedures.

Experience

Proven experience as a litigator specialising in medical negligence or healthcare law. Demonstrable success in negotiating favourable outcomes for clients in complex cases. Strong understanding of medical procedures, healthcare regulations, and relevant legal frameworks. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently under pressure. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on negotiation techniques. Prior experience working within a busy legal practice or law firm is desirable but not essential. This role demands a professional with a keen eye for detail, excellent negotiation skills, and a genuine commitment to securing justice for clients affected by medical negligence.
