We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment. This role requires excellent organisational skills and a strong ability to manage administrative tasks in a busy medical setting.
Candidates must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
This is a permanent position following the successful completion of a probationary period.
Hours of Work: 26 hours per week to be carried out as follows: Monday and Wednesday 8.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. plus Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings 8.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m.
Responsibilities
Duties include: booking appointments, receiving and directing patients to appropriate area, receiving and recording requests for home visits, assisting in the registration of new and temporary patients, dealing with queries via telephone and face to face, handing out repeat prescriptions and any other duties within the scope of the role.
The successful candidate should be flexible and able to provide additional hours to cover for absence of colleagues.

Candidates must be:
Educated to GCSE standard, literate, able to provide good references from previous employer, computer literate, have customer service experience and have a good telephone manner.
