Duties
Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and responding to inquiries in a timely manner.
Maintain patient records accurately and confidentially in compliance with data protection regulations.
Process patient registrations and verify insurance information as needed.
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the practice.
Handle billing inquiries and assist with payment processing.
Ensure the reception area is tidy and well-organised at all times.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing and data entry as required.
Experience
Previous office experience is essential, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Administrative experience is highly desirable, demonstrating proficiency in managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record systems would be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for effective interaction with patients and staff.
