We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth operation within the medical practice, contributing to a positive patient experience.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively.
Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.
Process patient registrations and insurance information accurately.
Handle billing inquiries and assist with payment processing.
Coordinate communication between patients and medical staff to facilitate efficient care delivery.
Ensure the reception area is organised and welcoming at all times.
Skills
Proficient in office administration with strong organisational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous but not essential.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
Proficient in using office software and equipment, including electronic health record systems.
