Medical Receptionist / Reactive Care Team Member

Job Description

We are a welcoming Doctor's Surgery and we are looking for friendly part-time Medical Receptionists to join our reception team. We are seeking new team members to cover a variety of morning and afternoon shifts (8:00-13:30 or 13:30-19:00/day).

Our practice covers

three sites

: Sunny Meed Surgery on Heathside Road, Goldsworth Park branch on Denton Way and Greenfield branch in Old Woking. Our clinical team consists of GPs, Paramedic Practitioner, clinical pharmacists, first contact physios, nurse practitioners, Nurses and HCAs. The practice is supported by an experience administrative team, which includes secretaries, administrators, care co-ordinators and receptionists.

You must be flexible and willing to work morning/afternoon hours; cover for holiday and sickness is essential.

We also completed a virtual walking challenge around the world competing against other Surrey practices.

We are now looking forward to our annual fun Christmas party. We also have a Sunny Meed book club who meet regularly as well as our practice own well-being programme. These are just some things we do to make this a great place to work!

Duties include:



First point of contact for patient queries on the phone, in person and online to provide access to the appropriate healthcare services in a professional, friendly, efficient and effective way Provide a high quality service to our patients Filling in online forms for patients regarding their clinical or admin requests Arranging appointments for patients as per clinicians' instructions Management of patient records in a confidential manner Participating in staff meetings and training Opening up/closing down procedures Provide general administrative assistance to the practice team to ensure that patients receive high quality service that the practice aims for and that the practice runs in an efficient and effective way.

Person specifications:



GCSE English and maths Grade A-C or equivalent Excellent written and verbal communication skills Great organisational skills Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Previous experience in customer service/reception of advantage Enthusiastic and positive attitude Willingness to undergo required training

Able to deal with difficult situations Highly motivated and able to use own initiative Flexibility to cover shifts at short notice Polite, calm and approachable Team player
