We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the practice. Main Duties & Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes
Schedule appointments and manage the practice's appointment calendar
Answer incoming calls, respond to patient enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence
Process clinical correspondence and perform clinical coding
Support patient recall systems
Undertake IT and system-related tasks as required
Provide support for other practice administration duties to facilitate smooth operations
Role Requirements
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with all members of the practice team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Applicants should have:
Proven office experience, preferably within a healthcare or medical environment
Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and organisational ability
High-level IT proficiency and experience with relevant systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively
Ability to remain calm under pressure whilst managing multiple tasks
