We are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the practice. Duties
Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and welcoming manner
Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow efficiently
Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary
Process administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures with professionalism
Assist with billing, invoicing, and processing payments when required
Ensure the reception area remains tidy, organised, and welcoming at all times
Support the medical team with administrative support as needed
Skills
Proven office experience with strong organisational skills
Previous administrative experience within a healthcare setting is desirable
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficient in using office software such as MS Office (Word, Excel) and practice management systems
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive information discreetly
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Friendly, professional demeanour with a customer-focused approach
