Part-Time Medical Receptionist

to join our team. This is a front-line role where you will play an important part in helping patients and supporting clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming patients and visitors to the surgery in a professional and courteous manner Answering incoming phone calls and managing patient enquiries Booking and amending appointments using our clinical system (e.g., Vision/EMIS) Processing repeat prescription requests Supporting the administrative needs of doctors, nurses, and other staff Maintaining confidentiality and following GDPR/NHS data protection policies Handling incoming and outgoing post and email communications

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a receptionist or admin role (healthcare/NHS experience desirable but not essential) Good IT skills and confidence using clinical systems (Vision/EMIS experience a bonus) Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and work calmly under pressure Reliable, punctual, and a team player Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures

Working Hours

Part-time role:

28 hours per week Shifts will include mornings & afternoons between 8am & 6:30pm Flexibility to cover staff absences (e.g. holiday/sickness) is desirable
