Vision Executives are experts in global ophthalmology recruitment and we have partnered with an international leader in ophthalmic diagnostics to find them a highly skilled and knowledgeable Medical Science Liaison (MSL). This role will serve as a vital link between the organization and the healthcare community. The ideal candidate will have an advanced scientific or clinical background with a focus on advancing clinical development and supporting medical education. The MSL will play a critical role in fostering relationships with key opinion leaders, facilitating clinical trials, and supporting product development within a regulated environment.
Duties
Act as the regional scientific expert for digital health and imaging solutions, providing authoritative clinical insight across the UK and EMEA.
Build and manage strong KOL and clinical stakeholder relationships, elevating the company's scientific presence and driving regional advocacy.
Deliver scientific communication and education, translating complex clinical and technical concepts into clear, impactful presentations and training programs.
Lead and support evidence generation activities, including IITs, clinical collaborations, and validation studies that strengthen clinical credibility.
Identify emerging clinical trends and unmet needs, translating insights into actionable recommendations for Product, R&D, and Global Medical Affairs.
Drive medical education programs, creating and delivering content that supports clinician adoption, distributor capability, and internal upskilling.
Provide strategic scientific input for commercial and marketing teams, aligning scientific messaging with market needs and competitive landscapes.
Represent the company at scientific forums, including congresses, advisory boards, and roundtables, enhancing visibility and scientific leadership.
Collaborate globally to ensure alignment with international medical strategy, sharing regional insights and supporting cross-market initiatives.
You will need:
Right to work in the UK
3-5 years of experience, advanced scientific or clinical background (MD, OD, MSc, PhD, PharmD or equivalent) with strong grounding in ophthalmology, optometry, retinal imaging, diagnostics, or digital health OR have experience in clinical applications in an ophthalmology environment.
Proven KOL and clinician engagement experience, establishing scientific credibility and conducting high-level clinical and technical discussions.
Strong scientific communication and research capability, able to translate complex imaging, data-driven, or AI-enabled concepts and contribute to evidence generation (IITs, validation studies, academic collaborations).
Commercially aware and technologically confident, understanding market dynamics and comfortable working with advanced imaging, analytics, and AI-supported diagnostic tools.
