Job Title: Medical Science Liaison Oncology

Territory: National

Reporting line: This role will report to the Medical Science Liaison and Medical Information Manager.

Main responsibilities:

  • To provide a field-based medical information service in line with the ABPI Code of Practice.
  • To develop a network of key individuals from the Healthcare Community.
  • To deliver medical and educational goods and services (MEGS) to healthcare professionals/organisations as appropriate.
  • To assist in the conduct of phase IIIb / phase IV studies.
  • To collaborate with ICTR on earlier phase studies, including site feasibility.
  • To deliver scientific training to Key Account Managers.
  • To maintain a high level of scientific, clinical and environmental knowledge through courses, self-initiated learning and attendance at appropriate meetings/congresses.
  • To act as compliance champion regarding Company SOPs and the ABPI Code of Practice.
Requirements for the role include:
  • Excellent knowledge of the NHS and its workings.
  • An exceptional communicator, able to demonstrate strong networking ability and to build strong professional relationships.
  • Excellent presentation and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience.
  • An excellent understanding of the role of Medical Affairs and the MSL.
  • Strong scientific acumen ideally with a higher scientific degree or having experience working in a laboratory
  • A good working knowledge of statistics and critical appraisal.
  • Must live on Southern UK territory.
  • You will be covering a large geography containing several Cancer Networks, which will entail extensive travel and overnight stays.
