This is no ordinary secretarial role -- we're looking for the medical secretary version of Donna from Suits (minus the legal jargon, but every bit of the capability, charm, and proactive energy).
About the Role
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for someone with a strong background in medical secretarial work who is ready to take on a more dynamic and strategic role. You will be the operational heartbeat of the private practice, supporting clinical administration
and
playing a central part in shaping and executing the practice's growth strategy.
Your Core Responsibilities
Medical Secretary Duties (60%)
Manage emails, WhatsApp and patient communication with professionalism and empathy
Coordinate private appointments, theatre bookings, and follow-up schedules
Accurately type and manage dictated clinic and operation letters
Liaise with patients, private hospitals, and insurers to ensure seamless care
Strategic Growth & Practice Development (40%)
Help deliver a bold growth strategy with autonomy and creativity
Coordinate social media campaigns and online advertising with our marketing partners
Manage follow-up calls and enquiries from leads and new patients
Organise events for local physiotherapists and private GPs
Monitor KPIs, help spot growth opportunities, and streamline systems
Represent the practice with polish, warmth, and professionalism
What We're Looking For
Prior experience as a
medical secretary
, preferably in orthopaedics or a surgical specialty
Excellent organisational and communication skills -- verbal, written, and digital
Highly competent with technology (emails, Microsoft Office, basic CRM tools, social media platforms)
Ability to work independently and proactively, owning your role and adding value
A strategic mindset -- someone who sees the bigger picture and takes initiative
Creative flair for ideas, event planning, and patient engagement
