Job Description

The post holder will be required to provide a comprehensive administration service to support the reception booking team, consultants and clinicians in the General Surgery Department.



You will work in association with the clerical teams to provide a central point of communication for patients and staff.



Provide a complete medical administrative service including RTT, patient correspondence and editing and formatting letters.



Liaising with Nurses, Doctors and other members of the multidisciplinary team including Inpatient / Outpatient Bookings teams to provide a quality service for the patients.



Working as part of a team, sharing responsibility for the smooth running of the administrative service to deliver safe patient care



To provide a first point of contact, answering all telephone enquiries, taking and relaying messages in a polite and helpful manner, and using own judgement to establish the priority of issues and taking action as appropriate.
