We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Medical Summariser to join our team on a zero-hour contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately summarising medical records and patient information, from either electonic or hard copy. You will be required to clinically code correspondence and diagnoses, working autonomously at times, however full training will be given.
Hours and days of work will vary according to the needs of the business. The role may be particularly suited to a candidate who is studying medicine or biological sciences, with hours available both outside of term-term or to fit around university commitments.
Duties
Review and interpret medical records, reports, and related documentation to produce clear, concise summaries.
Utilise computer systems, including specialised software, to input, update, and manage patient information securely.
Maintain high standards of accuracy and confidentiality in handling sensitive health information.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and administrative teams to ensure completeness and correctness of summaries.
Support quality assurance processes by reviewing summaries for consistency and adherence to guidelines.
Requirements
The position is ideal for a candidate with a medical or biological science background
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and a methodical approach to work are essential
Good IT literacy
