Medical/Hospital Veterinary Surgeon

Location:

Calder Vets Dewsbury Hospital

Hours:

40 hours per week, including 1 in 4 weekends (Days only)

Salary:

60,000 per year (Depending on experience)

Join our RCVS accredited Schedule 3 hospital with the latest diagnostic tools and the opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled and experienced veterinary team Focus on high level workup and a variety of interesting medical cases, including non-routine consultations and assessments that will give you the opportunity to continuously develop in your role Provide inpatient care, making plans and carrying out assessments for our hospitalised pets Feel supported by our dedicated Night team of vets and nurses who will take over your cases at the end of the day Keen to expand your knowledge and skills? Whether this means helping you achieve a Certificate or progressing towards a Leadership role, we are here to support your ambitions!

We have a large vet team and are supported by fantastic nursing and front-of-house teams, and many of our vets are working towards certificates in surgery, imaging, dermatology, cardiology and ophthalmology. What we're looking for



Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent and RCVS registration Previous experience working in a hospital environment Experience with ultrasound scanning A confident individual who enjoys all elements of their role, including medical workup, consulting and inpatient care Existing certifications would be ideal, but not essential
