Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Counter Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the shop is fully stocked and presentable. This position requires a strong commitment to accuracy and a passion for helping others in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries at the counter. Take in prescriptions for the dispensary team to process. Hand out prescriptions that have been dispensed ready for patients to collect. Promote the many services the pharmacy offers. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Provide information to patients regarding medications, including usage, side effects, and storage instructions and refer to the pharmacist where needed. Assist in managing inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed. Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Experience

Previous experience as a Counter Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. A background in patient care will be considered an asset. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential for success in this role.
