We are looking for a safety conscious pharmacy professional to work with the Trust Medication Safety Officer (MSO) and Principal Pharmacist - Medicines Safety, Quality and Governance in supporting safe medication practice and the secure handling of medicines. You will contribute to the design and delivery of new innovations to reduce the risk from medicines to patients and support the management of medicines shortages and alerts relating to medicines.
You will also assist in the delivery of key workstreams managed by the Medicines Governance oversight group to proactively manage the CQC medicines management key lines of enquiry
To assist in identifying governance and patient safety issues affecting the management of medicines within the Trust and contributing to the design and implementation of solution
To support the operational running of the Trust's Medicines Governance Committee, Medicines Shortages group, Medicines Safety group and PGD group
To support the project management of significant changes to medicines processes to enable patient safety benefits.
Assist in the delivery of key workstreams managed by the Medicines Governance oversight group
To co-ordinate and manage clinically significant supply disruptions and medicines recalls.
