The Role
We are recruiting for a
Meeting and Events Sales Coordinator
to join the Banqueting team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role. We are looking for someone who is highly personable, passionate about delivering five star service in a busy working environment. The role is a full time position working 40 hours per week usually Monday to Friday with some early evening registrations.
The Person
Previous experience in conference and Banqueting is an advantage

Main Duties
The role is to ensure the support of the smooth running of the Banqueting department and its administration in consultation with the Banqueting Managers and working within the guidelines set by the Club and effectively communicating to all relevant departments.
Filing and administration of past, present, ongoing and future events.
Function sheets - compiling function sheets through contact with clients and collating, formatting and distributing information through all departments
Dealing with Member and Client enquiries and proposals ensuring that all quotes are sent within 24 hours of request
Assist with Committee meetings working one evening every 2 weeks approximately
Using the Club computer system to enter all bookings appropriately, ensuring organisation and facilitation of Club and private events, liasing with clients and members regarding their events in conjunction with the Banqueting Managers.
Answering the telephone, taking messages where appropriate and dealing with email enquiries.
Creation of table menus and place-cards for all events on a daily basis as well as the day to day restaurant menus
Keeping the Stationery in the Banqueting department fully stocked, checking on a regular basis to ensure there is no shortage
Updating and collation of function, conference and wedding packs
Maintaining overall effective communication with colleagues and all other departments
Club Events - To liaise with the Secretariat responsible for Club events with regard to bookings, enquiries, and payments for these events, with full administration, coordination and supervision.
General duties allocated to you from heads of department from time to time
