The Federation of Independent Retailers (the Fed) is a member owned trade organisation, established in 1919 and now is looking for a talented individual (or individuals) to join the Team at our head office in Durham to grow new membership sales at pace, in a newly created telesales function.
We are seeking a dynamic Membership Sales professional to join our team in Durham. This role is pivotal in driving membership growth and enhancing our presence in the independent retail sector. We are focused on discussing this opportunity with people, who can bring the right direct sales experience, believe in beating targets and can show how they have achieved this, while being open minded and help us shape this new role for success, growth and for the future of our membership. Retailers don't just work 9-5, and nor do we, so we need to find the best times to contact them to discuss the many opportunities membership of the Fed can bring them.
We are open to consider these roles as a full-time opportunity, part time or even a job share if we can find the right candidates. We need to explore the opportunities that will generate the highest level of membership sales opportunities, and initial flexibility within a defined weekly schedule would be important in the early days of this role as we move into this new exciting time of change and creation of a perfect role.
This is a challenging role that will see lots of rejection, but you will bring the level of experience, a positive outlook, resilience and work with Integrity, to see every contact as an opportunity to help business owners, make money, save money and make their business easier.
