Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? We're looking for an experienced and caring Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our dedicated Sheffield Outreach Team.



About Sheffield Outreach



Sheffield Outreach works in partnership with the local authority's Mental Health Independence Framework to provide tailored support to individuals living in the community. We currently support over 65 people in their own homes, helping them work towards recovery and independence. Our dedicated Mental Health Recovery Workers deliver one-to-one support, focusing on personal goals outlined in individual support plans and addressing identified social care needs.



The service operates Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, but flexibility is essential to meet the needs of those we support. Access to a vehicle is preferred, as the role involves travel within the community



Overview of the Mental Health Support Worker role:

You'll work one-to-one with service users, supporting them to achieve their personal goals and access the resources they need on their recovery journey. Every day brings the opportunity to empower someone to take positive steps toward a brighter future.

Essential skills and experience required:



Working experience: I have experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity. Listening and Empathy: You are a good listener, empathetic, understanding, kind, patient, and willing to learn. Values Alignment: You can demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of our Charity, including hope, understanding, expertise, equity, commitment, passion, and openness.
