Mental Health Support Worker

Hours: Full time = 43 hour contract.

Week 1 - 36 hours

Week 2 - 48 hours

Duration: Permanent

Hourly rate of 12.21 - 12.50 Depending on experience

Location: Draper House, Park Road St Helens

Located in St Helens, Draper House is a purpose-built specialist residential service for Females with complex mental health needs.

The service operates 24/7. You will work shift patterns including weekends and bank Holidays on a rolling 4 week ROTA. Standard shifts are 12 hours a days.

You will be working at a specialist locked rehabilitation for Females with complex mental health needs and behaviours that challenge. You will support the service to equip service users with the skills required for community living and increased independence.

The service is a recovery-based unit supported by individualised interventions. You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team which includes Responsible Clinician, Nursing team, Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologist, and Occupational Therapist.

You will receive training to join the team as a Support Worker where you will be valued and supported, with career development opportunities available.

Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and team members Proficiency in IT to manage documentation and care plans Leadership abilities to guide and support individuals in their recovery journey Experience in developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual needs Understanding of mental health principles and recovery-oriented practices
