Essential:
Numerate and literate
IT skills
Understanding of how mental health issues can affect people
Ability to take direction and follow detailed policies and protocols

Able to lead others in delivering specific interventions
Desirable:
Full UK driving licence
NVQ in care or substantial equivalent experience in supporting people with significant health or social care needs
Clinical Responsibilities
To assist with the care, treatment and rehabilitation of residents within the service as directed.
To assist in the maintenance of a safe therapeutic environment beneficial to the needs of the residents, relatives and other carers.
To contribute to the team approach to residents, providing accurate and relevant feedback to senior staff: to participate in team discussions and meetings regarding care of residents.
To participate in the application of care plans, ensuring interventions and observations are communicated effectively to senior staff and act as a key worker.
To assist in the supervision of other health care and support staff as directed by the manager.
To play a part in the preparation of assessments for current/ future residents.
Educational Responsibilities
To keep up to date with changing practices and attend relevant training, as appropriate to the role, as directed.
To promote positive attitudes towards mental health. This will include:
Attending regular statutory training and updates.
Participating in appraisal and supervision processes from identified senior member of staff.
Contributing to the learning environment of staff undergoing training and new team members as directed.
Maintaining Health and Safety in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).

Workforce Responsibilities
To play a role in making the best use of available workforce resources based on agreed staffing models and contributing to provision of best care possible.
To follow Nouvita policies relating to the security of the building/residents, to ensure safe practice and protection of clients, staff, visitors and members of the general public.
To play a part in the service provision that is both safe and therapeutic within span of knowledge.
To supervise the work of other Care Pathway Facilitators, as appropriate.
To contribute to the development of other staff.
To manage time effectively. To communicate effectively with and maintain good relationships with Multidisciplinary Team Visitors, Manager, Carers and other Nouvita staff, residents and their families, CPA Co-Coordinator and Voluntary organisations

To maintain standards of record keeping and associated administration in accordance with Nouvita policy and professional guidelines, including: ?Upkeeping contemporaneous, chronological and accurate mental health records which have been checked and verified by the Manager or their deputy.

You will join a friendly, highly skilled and enthusiastic care team at our new care home in Luton, Windermere House. Located in a residential area of Luton in Bedfordshire, Windermere House is part of Nouvita Healthcare and a 10 bed all-male residential home. Here we will support men aged 18 and older with their mental health recovery, aiding them to live as independently as possible within the community and providing a "stepping-stone" to supported living.
