We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mentor to join our team. This role is essential in providing guidance, support, and encouragement to young individuals, helping them navigate their personal and educational journeys. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching or youth work, with the ability to foster positive relationships and inspire confidence in those they mentor.
Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 mentoring sessions with young people in line with their care and support plans.
Attend scheduled sessions
even if the young person is unavailable or unwilling to engage
, maintaining consistency and professional boundaries.
Support young people to build resilience, independence, and self-esteem.
Work collaboratively with care staff and external professionals.
Maintain clear and accurate records of each session.
Participate in supervision, training, and reflective practice.
Skills
Experience working with children or young people in educational or community settings.
Proven mentoring experience, demonstrating the ability to guide and inspire others effectively.
Background in youth work or special education is highly desirable, enabling tailored support for diverse needs.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport quickly.

Essential Requirements
Enhanced DBS check
Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable groups.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Reliable, compassionate, and able to maintain professional boundaries.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
Desirable
Full UK Driving Licence
and access to a vehicle.
Relevant qualification (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce, Youth Work, Psychology, Social Care, or related field).
Experience in residential childcare or mentoring roles.
Pay: From 20.00 per hour
